Exciting October 2024 Hip-Hop Album Releases

As the final months of 2024 approach, the hip-hop world is gearing up for a wave of exciting album releases. This October, three major artists—Rod Wave, GloRilla, and DeJ Loaf—are set to deliver new projects that are highly anticipated by fans.

Rod Wave – Last Lap (October 11, 2024)

Florida rapper Rod Wave continues his streak of consistent success with the release of his fifth studio album, Last Lap, on October 11. Known for his emotional lyrics and soulful sound, Rod Wave has built a dedicated fanbase with his blend of rap and R&B.

The album comes on the heels of his 2023 project Nostalgia, which recently earned platinum certification, adding to Rod’s impressive tally of gold and platinum records. With Last Lap, Rod Wave is expected to delve deeper into the reflective and heartfelt themes that have defined his music, as he celebrates his rise to the top.

GloRilla – Glorious (October 11, 2024)

After the success of her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang earlier this year, Memphis rapper GloRilla is ready to make her official debut with Glorious, also slated for release on October 11. GloRilla has rapidly gained attention for her bold, energetic style and confident lyricism.

Her debut album is expected to showcase her growth as an artist, with Glo herself declaring that the project is a “classic” on social media. The album cover, featuring a striking illustration of GloRilla in gold hoop earrings, hints at the unapologetic attitude fans have come to love.

DeJ Loaf – End of Summer (October 11, 2024)

Detroit rapper DeJ Loaf makes her return with End of Summer, marking her first full-length release in four years. After a period of relative quiet, DeJ is re-entering the scene with a more mature sound. The album’s lead single, "BNB," has already set the tone for a sultry, introspective project. In addition to the album, DeJ Loaf has announced a tour, which was postponed earlier but is now back on schedule to support her upcoming release.

With these major albums dropping in the same week, October is set to be a pivotal month in hip-hop. Fans of Rod Wave’s introspection, GloRilla’s high-energy confidence, and DeJ Loaf’s smooth flows will have plenty to look forward to as these artists release new material that continues to push the genre forward.
